Over the last month the water temperatures have cooled off in Naples to the mid 60’s. This cooling has slowed the snook fishing down but, it also has fired up species like seatrout and sheepshead. My clients and I have been targeting these winter species with shrimp either fished on a jig head or on a hook with a spilt shot about 6 inches above the hook. The photo above is of a 22lb triple tail that my client ross and I found in North Naples. I will continue fishing for these species until I see a warming trend.
